Welcome to Bovington Academy

A place to belong, a place to achieve, a place to believe! At Bovington we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing environment in which all children feel included and are able to take part in enriching learning experiences. Bovington students don’t just succeed, they thrive. There are 7 classes across an age range of 4-11 and we currently have 205 children on roll. This creates a sense of family for our students and school feels like home away from home.

We have a team of passionate, dedicated staff and our pupils are hard-working, enthusiastic, proud of their school and absolutely delightful! Our impressive and extensive grounds, including a Forest School, provide ample space for our children to play and learn. Our expectations are high but we also want pupils at Bovington to have memorable learning experiences along the way. We aim to recognise each child’s individual talents, facilitate their growth and encourage them to be the best that they can be. We look forward to welcoming you to Bovington Academy!

Our curriculum

At Bovington Academy, the ethos of the school is driven by three guiding principles: self-worth, purpose & engagement. We combine traditional learning with the skills students need to thrive in the 21st century and this includes providing technology-rich experiences to engage in including our Creator Space and facilities such as 3D printers and Chromebooks.

Bovington is part of the Aspirations Academies Trust. In addition to following the Government’s National Curriculum and achieving all milestones set, students at Aspirations schools also complete The No Limits Curriculum. This is unique to all schools in the trust. It involves Applied Transdisciplinary Learning: students apply what they have learnt in the classroom to real-world projects that cross subject disciplines. It is an approach that enables students to leave in Year 6 equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in their futures.
